Father Tipton was born in Fayetteville, NC in May of 1989 to a military family. He is the second of six children. With his father’s TDY, the family was blest to live in a few states and spent several years overseas in Europe. It was there that he became aware of two things that always remain constant in an ever-changing world: love of the family and Sunday Mass. This awareness began to foster a love and desire to pursue the priesthood.
In education, Father Tipton attended private, parochial, public, and home-school until his High School graduation in 2008. Not certain whether he was being called to a religious order or diocese, Father Tipton attended Christendom College in Front Royal to study philosophy and theology. Graduating Christendom in 2012, Father Tipton was accepted as a seminarian for the Diocese of Arlington and began his studies that Fall at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Philadelphia, PA for the next six years. On June 9, 2018, Father Tipton was ordained a priest by Bishop Burbidge. His first assignment was St. Leo the Great in Fairfax. Currently, he is thrilled to be the chaplain for St. John Paul the Great High School.
